Lee Kam Explorers (ECA)
This course is an enrichment program for high ability English students that gives them the chance to explore the world in a way they haven’t before. They will learn history, geography, social sciences, IT skills and make creative projects using their own research. Their English level will also be enhanced through these challenging and thrilling studies. They will be taught 21st Century Skills like information literacy, collaboration, global citizenship, critical thinking, communication, creativity, growth mindset.
The instructor will provide feedback on their reading, writing and speaking skills. During the process, there will be guidance and review of their work. Students will be challenged to review peers’ work and reflect on their own learning as well.
In each unit students will:
- be introduced to a fascinating topic
- research ideas and learn to use online resources; discuss and write about relevant global issues related to the topic then connect it to their experiences
- collaborate on projects and creatively produce multimedia works to present and display
P1-3 Big Book Approach allows students to enjoy learning English through singing, reading stories and fun writing. It aims at developing students’ interest in learning English and preparing them for KS2 English study.
